Some walks call for everything you've got. The kind of day where the wind has a real edge to it, the ground is frozen solid, and the rain comes in sideways. The kind of walk where you go anyway - because that's what you do.
The Powder Hound Coverall is built for exactly those walks. It's the most protective coat in the Powder Hound range - full-body coverage from neck to tail, articulated StormSleeves wrapping the front and rear legs, and 250g of high-loft recycled insulation under a waterproof, windproof shell rated at 10,000mm. Nothing gets in. Nothing gets out.
What makes it different is the fit. Two cinches - one at the neck, one at the tail - let you close the coat down around the actual shape of your dog, sealing out draughts at every edge. Most coats cover. This one wraps. The chest zip runs the full length of the belly for easy on and off, the back leash portal means it layers straight over a harness, and a light loop lets you attach the Ruffwear Beacon Safety Light for the short days when the dark comes early.

Getting it right matters as much to us as it does to you. Finding the right thing sometimes needs a bit of exploring - piecing together the right parts of the puzzle. If the final piece is still missing lets figure it out together - drop us a message.

All three share the same waterproof, insulated construction - the difference is coverage. The Vest is sleeveless - a great all-rounder for most dogs in cold, wet weather. The Jacket adds full sleeve coverage for dogs who feel the cold in their legs and chest. The Coverall goes furthest - full body coverage from neck to tail, front and rear legs included - for maximum protection in the most demanding conditions. If you're not sure which is right for your dog, drop us a message.
Not at all. Unzip the chest panel, slide the coat over your dog's head, then guide each leg through the stretch sleeves - front legs first, then rear. Fasten the chest zip and the coat is on. Our tip: use the cinches at the neck and tail to close everything down and seal out draughts, and tuck the elastic cords into their low-profile pockets so nothing snags on low branches.
The chest zip runs the full length of the belly, making it easy to get on and off over a harness. The single leash portal on the back gives you access to your harness ring to attach the lead once the coat is on and fastened. Worth noting - unlike the Jacket, the Coverall has one leash portal at the back only, as the chest zip runs where a chest portal would otherwise sit.
Yes, completely. The Coverall is tailored with an anatomically curved cut underneath that leaves the toileting areas fully clear for both male and female dogs. Your dog can pee and poop exactly as they normally would on the trail without any risk of fouling the fabric.
Yes - and for long-coated, curly, or fine-furred dogs this alone can be reason enough. A winter run in snow usually ends with frozen clumps matted into the legs. Because the Coverall wraps all four legs in a waterproof, water-repellent shell, snow slides off the fabric instead of sticking to the fur - so they can stay out longer and you skip the post-walk session with a towel and a hairdryer.
